  • Bike Name

Hi All. I have been trying to decide on a name for my bike since April a year ago. It is an 81 Special. I traded an over under shotgun for it, so was thinking that (Shotgun Special) would be Appropiat. What do you think. I am working on some grafics for the side covers with Shotgun Special with the same font and basic design as the origenal Eleven Special. What do you think

    Trapper
    81 SH (SHotgun Special)
    110 mains
    idle jets 2.5 turns
    floats at 24mm

Bike names are XSessivly Special, it has to come to you and mean something only to you. So if Shotgun is what you want, that is what it is. It sounds like you have already decided if you are going ahead with graphics.
    Sounds good to me.

      Hey Trapper,

Have you done a search for "Bike names" or nicknames, a couple of good threads to show how folks came up with the names for their machines! Sounds like you've found a good theme, especially if you're into guns/rifles!

You could also have some fun with your signature

      (81 SHotgun Special)

      OVER & above the rest....
UNDER estimated by H-D's and twins!

      A real WAD Cutter!

      Some Piston Pump Action!

      T.C.

      PS. BIke NickNames thread
      T. C. Gresham
      81SH "Godzilla" . . .1179cc super-rat.
      79SF "The Teacher" . . .basket case!
      History shows again and again,
How nature points out the folly of men!

I said,Shotgun shoot em for he runs now
        Do the jerk baby
        Do the jerk now
        Hey!

        Put on your red dress
And then you go downtown now
I said buy yourself a shotgun now
We're gonna break it down baby now
We're gonna load it up baby now
And then you shoot him for he runs now

I said,Shotgun shoot em for he runs now
        Do the jerk baby

I said,Shotgun shoot em for he runs now
        Do the jerk baby

        Hey!

Put on your high heels shoes
I said we're goin' down here listen to em play blues
        We're gonna dig potatoes
        We're gonna pick tomatoes

I said,Shotgun shoot em for he runs now
        Do the jerk baby
        Do the jerk now
        Hey!

        I said it's Twine Time

              Welcome XJLimited!

Thanks for that, yeah, I like it....

I see you're new to these boards so welcome and enjoy. You'll find so much information about your XJ here (assuming you have an XJ)

For instance, I recently discovered that I'm running a stock exhaust on The Swiftcicle from an XJ1100J!

Curse those eBay advertisers with their loose descriptions.

              Have fun mate.
