  • suzuki carbs

thought id start a new thread.

well i got my suzuki carbs,
all was going well, had them stripped down
and cleaned til i got 2 the end, there are
small jets screwed into the bottom of the float bowl
all of these were clogged really bad and the holes
are so small, well i drilled them out with sum really tiny
drill bits, but broke 1 of the bits of in the jet, and im sure
i drilled the other jets 2 big, so now im after 4 of these,
wat a pain to order parts for since i dont have the
bike model these carbs came off.
They are suppose 2 b off an 87 gsxr 750.

Also im after the float heights, i think
there suppose 2 b 15mm but not quite sure.
wat a pain these are 2 adjust,
if any1 knows id appreciate the info.

ill post pics because i have more questions 2 ask,
but i cant get into photobucket at the moment.
    pete

        Well now Im spewing
after spending the day cleaning the carbs
i thought i should check the diameters,
theyre 38mm not 36mm like I asked for,
problem is i bought them from interstate, from a m/c wrecker
i sent an email for the moron to recheck the size b4 he sent them out
2 me, how the %$#$% could you measure them wrongly.
they wont fit on the intake rubbers, unless i modify them.

Any thoughts, should I try and fit them or send them back?

Thanx Ed ill check that site out.
