We had tossed-around thoughts on what to do for the 30th anniversary at last years Tahoe rally.
We thought a gathering at Bob Jonses XS Eleven Heaven shop would be cool.
Your plan is better because it's already decided on .

Idaho XS11 meet, 30th year of bikes?

Just two things, one, we thought since we had not heard from XS11s in Idaho for awhile, and 2, it was close for "us" Canucks and "bestcoasters"in Washington, that it would be good. Two, it seems when these "ride alongs" occur, they don't get off the paper due to whatever, so, maybe a compilation of the two could occur, a ride and "meet", and for others a "ride along" to a meet.

Jerry, did the carbs work ok?

        I wish I could be there !

I wish I could be at your XS1100 30th anniversary next year !
However, I think there will be a problem to solve for me first:
I think the boats (that could carry my bike! )that went from my hometown Bergen in Norway, sailed the last sailing in the fifties or sixties! Putting the bike on the plane sounds expensive!?
But there will be a XS1100 anniversary in Germany also - much closer to Norway!

Just don't put it on the 2nd weekend in June. That's the weekend that Ride for Sight runs, every year, in Alberta.
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

              30th year.

Check out the St. maries Id. area it's a bit out of the way but there are some great camp grounds in the area and they rent out the Fair grounds to groups as well , and the area is full of great places to ride. The ride to Headquarters Id. is worth the trip , the Grear Grade has corners so tight you can read your own license plate. Labor day weekend they have a big Paul Bunyon Days blowout with a huge fire works show, but it will be hard to find a place to stay, you may have to sleep standing up

                  XS1100 30TH ANNIVERSERY RALLY

I live in KANSAS and own a 1980 XS1100 SPECIAL. I would like find out if their are any plans for the rally to come through the midwest. A good place to meet would be MERRIAM CYCLE in merriam kansas their business specializes in the XS1100. I would greatly appreciate any information anyone can give me about the rally.

                  Thank You

Todd, read the first few posts. This is a NW rally where we have the mountains to go and play in. (and play we do!) No mid west flat lander stuff. It is a rolling rally,(we keep going) through 2 countries and 3-4-5 states. Mid Aug, starts in Olympia Wash, ends in Olympia Wash. In between we roll right along quite smartly hitting as little as possible. Com'on up and play. (PS, bring $) a reliable strong running bike and lots of on the road experience. Some good stories for around the camp fire helps to.

I would definitely be in for a leg on the Cali west coat. I would make it over to the 5, but it doesn't get any more of a boring ride than the 5. 101 is nice and twisty
