I have Windows Mail, now as it comes with Vista. Unlike Outlook Express WM won't check Hotmail, so I have to go directly to Hotmail's website to check my mail.

Luckily the newest version of Internet Explorer has the little mail icon at the top, on the toolbar, so it's still a 1 click deal.
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

            Yeah, something changed.
My Flintstone Computer can't open hotmail anymore, so I'm dead.
Of course... it can't deal with the new XS11 site format, either.

                frikken microsoft

Damn microsoft . Its going into our comps and changing stuff. Its prompting us to upgrade to newer versions of programs that spy on us . They are onto keeping track of us and our habits in a big way . Never upgrade ,never update, disable microsoft spyware including Security Center . I use XP-antispy . It has been tough but I managed to stay with the old Hotmail but be careful - they are sneaky .
Oh , never mind - just a rant

YES Microsoft is moving everything over to their "live" program. They have been working on it for a while now. i know this because as a long time MSN user I was invited to join up very early and have input to what worked and didn't work. You best do the upgrade and if your connection is too slow for the live mail just use the "classic version" button when checking mail. The live set up is BETTER but change is always fun.

What about it doesn't work? I have been going there on one of my ancient (12 year old) 266MHz laptops and it's been working fine. Granted, it's still over broadband, which helps alot...

                      Computer just too slow.
I really can't play E bay or Paypal, either.
                      Can't watch videos, etc.

Guess I'll call the Comcast people Monday and get my new computer up and running on cable.

If it's any kind of Pentium II or better, it should run any of this stuff fine, albiet a little slow in spots. Biggest problem, for the slower CPU is most of the older machines have low amount of RAM, ie; 256MB or less, especially if running Windows XP.

If this is the case, scrounge around, I am sure you can find the older ram in people's junk boxes.

My Laptop is a 600Mhz Pentium III, it has a 40GB hard drive and 512MB RAM, with an 8MB video 'card', running Windows XP Home and I can do pretty much anything I need to, on the Internet. I even play online poker with it. If I want to buy the DVD player for it, lots of them on Ebay it will play movies.
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...
