I stopped on my way home from the Olympia rally to visit my daughter in Portland. She works in an office park off I-5, exit 92. (Hwy 217 exit.) When I left I went back north on I-5 to catch I-84 west, took over an hour to get to a point where I could shift into 5th gear. Most of the hour was 1st and 2nd gear, when we were not stopped....
I lived in Hillsboro for quite a few years, have relatives in Milwaukie suburb of Portland, could not believe how much worse the traffic has gotten since I left in '90.
Still, had camped in McIver park SW of Portland, came north along the Clackamas River, very nice ride and countryside. I do miss the greenery.
Portland area is a nice place to work and live, but the traffic is now big city and a real PITA.Jerry Fields

Oregon Ride Routes
www.oregonmotorcyclist.com is a great site that has routes all over Oregon, with reviews and maps. Many routes have Google maps where you can see the actual turns and terrain.

I've got a garage, some tools and some cold ones if anyone can make it over to my place for carb-sync 101.

I'm in Tualatin (just down the hill from Portland on I5.)
However I've been way to busy this year go to on any group rides. In fact my current ride (79 Standard) is waiting for me to get it back on the road.)
My website is www.OregonMotorcycleParts.com and should be confused with the other website posted a few messages back...
