What to change speedo on 81 11 SH ?

I know alot of you have done it so I'd like some input on what speedo to look for to change out my stock 85 mph one ?

Any speedo from an early model XS special will work. I swapped one from a 79 on my 80g. I just happen to have a set of special gauges with the 160mph speedo. Chrome cups have rust pits, but you could use your old cups or paint the pitted ones. $50 plus shipping will get ya the set. Took em off a parts doner rig. I don't have a special but I figured someone would need em at some time.

I have a speedo from a 79 XS750 (140 MPH) on my 80LG. Look to the XStriples as another source.

Later XS650's have a proper speedometer as well. They are 120 mph and 140 mph.

No. The triples have self-cancellers too.

XS650's have them too! Just be sure it's a late model.
