Strangely enough, I agree with both of you. The SPEED channel has way too much nascar garbage.

And MRO, if I were single , I wouldn't even own a TV.

We have a 52 inch bigscreen projection...

with Dolby surround, 900 channels of cable crapola, integrated DVD/VCR, the works. I brought it with me to this relationship almost 3 years ago. As nice as it is...

We hardly ever turn the thing on!

With 5 kids in the house and ALWAYS some sort of friends of the kids hanging about, we encourage outdoor play, indoor games, anything to use imagination and cunning. Too much garbage on the tube these days to let the kids sit in front of it slackjawed and drooling...

Hate sports, so no need to watch for that, news depresses me, so no need to sit and watch that, and time spent rotting the brain in front of the tube can be much better spent polishing chrome or waxing my Exploder. The kids love to help and we're all outside together. Family values aren't what they used to be, so we try to include the kids in everything possible.

Had the mufflers off the bike last night, fired it up for giggles...the kids went BALLISTIC!!! THey loved it, absolutely LOVED it!! I thought it was kinda neat myself, but stared at my feet and put em back on when SWMBO glared at me from the porch...
