Just want to give everyone a heads up on a person posting on this site. They will not send you your parts. I paid for a set of XS1100 carbs. They were never sent. I have tried unsuccessfully for over six months via phone to have him ship them to me ( I had even paided the shipping cost he wanted). I have repeatedly called and heard every excuse you can dream of. PLEASE beware of a person named RANDY(XS11.com username Rogueinla) with a phone number of 1-818-481-8952.
I did not want to have to post this, but do not want others to get burned too. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to be nice and give people the benefit of trusting their word.

Hey 78Grandpop,

Randy is our go to guy for repairing the TCI's, and I've met him at several rallies, so I can hardly believe this, but perhaps it is true?

I hope he sees this and posts a reply, but more importantly I hope he gets those carbs to you ASAP!?!?

I agree, track down the number, and use the internet to turn him into the California DA office. Should take about 10 minutes on the computer, and you'll have your parts, money, and the "RANDY" person in hot water.

BTW, I looked up the number on Anywho.com where you can do a reverse-lookup. Came up empty.

The number is either unlisted, non-existant or is a cell #

Seemed like a nice guy( But some people say that about me, too, at first)

Randy from the east coast is on the up-and-up. If you aren't sure of a lister's credentials then Stick with Paypal or wait till the check clears (MDRNF). I have never had a problem with any member at this site. That's a shame......

First and foremost let me thank all of you for being concerned. It re-establishes my faith in people. This Randy is on the West Coast. As near as I can tell by the address I sent the check to he resides in Studio City. I do know he is California for sure. He has posted other parts. I did do a search of his phone number and came up with parts he had for sale that go to Jeeps. He is also in a close relationship with a Sean McGill. (Yes I did a search on him too and came up empty.) Again I can not say enough times PLEASE BEWARE of this person. He is CA Based not east coast. To the Randy that is on the east coast - I wish I had known about you. I am New Jersey Based and was looking for someone close to deal with. Your reputation here is excellent by the sounds of it. My only thing is - so was the other Randy. To your advantage you have several people whom will vouch for you. Hats off to you sir and I am sorry for any inconvenience I my have cause you. To the Randy on the west coast, and you know who you are, My most best wishes on you getting what you deserve. NO BUSINESS.

Am very familiar with Stroudsburg as I was a Camp Counselor at Johnsonburg NJ which is near Delaware water gap. Also use to drive tractor trailer through your area years ago hauling ag equipment. I am the belly of the butthole state of NJ. Land of the highest property taxes in the union. If you look at a map I am 35 miles south of the Delaware memorial twin span. Better yet "If they every blow up Salem Nuclear Station, I won't have enough time to bend over and kiss my butt goodbye" as I am south of it but can see it.
I am looking for a couple rebuild kits or new/used fuel petcocks. My 78 XS1100 has been sitting for 15 years and I just got a set of carbs for it. Not from Randy in CA either. Actually my son found them and got them for me as a birthday gift. Best gift I ever got. Anyhow I am getting ready to start working on it again. Also am looking for a windshield with or without the popouts. This is the original fairing windshield not a 3rd party job.

South NJ

I grew up in south NJ, Gloucester county. Ah, I miss the oil refineries, esp the odors that used to blow in from the Eagle point plant when the wind was just right. Then I purchased my first home in Paulsboro, right near the Mobil refinery, I thought I was moving up.

I hope you have a better view then I did growning up there.
