Check out the classifieds on Grassrootsmotorsports.com there seems to always be a project 944 on there. If you want a done and supercharged 928 drop me a line. But I agree with the statement above. Parts are pricey. Find a 914 and do a Subie swap. cheaper and more fun.
I hate signatures. Too many cars and Bikes to list here.

Sounds like what the dealer says about an XS1100.

"I'm more interested in the cheeseburger, fries and drink for $4.95."

But, as we're talking mid-life crisis here...
TRBIG, was that $4,800? Is that unreasonable for an old Porche?
Even I could swing that.
(I almost bought an old Jaguar last year on a whim. I envisioned "zoomie" pipes, flames, and paintin' a big skull on the hood.

Yeah, it says $4,800... I just thought that this was the cheapest Porche made... always heard of them being called the poor man's Porche. At almost 20 years old... just figured that was a lot. But like I said... I know nothing about them or what they're worth.

cheesy

Hey Prom, better be a bacon cheeseburger, you can have the fries. Maybe a midlife crises for some, for me it's a hobby. I can go out and buy a new vette, but where's the fun in that. So I will stick a vette engine in a much lighter car (and better handling for that matter)....I can't stand having the same old crap that everybody else has (see why I have a couple XS11s?) Any ways thanks for the pics Big. Either the guy is drunk and he doesn't know what year it is (wheels tell it's an 84-85) or maybe the guy is stoned and thinks he'll get 4800 for an earlier 84-85 by trying to dump it off as an 88. If there was an interior pic I could tell. The 86+ had alloy suspensions and better interior styling. I just want one with a blown engine. The last one I got was an 87 automatic that I swapped to a 5 speed.Honestly paid $500 for it from a guy in Norman. These cars get @34 mpg and don't have too much power with the 4 banger unless they are Turbos, then the parts get expensive from there. The timing belt is the most important thing to look at, if it breaks be prepared to remove the head and replace bent valves. Most people that own them don't even know this. Guess I should wait awhile for someone to do just that around here to get my donor........but thanks for the pics

jags get dissed too

I put an lt1 in a 87 xj jag. The jag motor was weak too! my recent Hybrid was the S-10 blazer with a vette 350, with all the goodies of course. Sold it a couple months ago after remodeling a house. Was the quickest work truck That the Lowe's parking lot ever saw. Ate a couple mustangs and a Ford Lightning too!

Back when

Mid '60's i had a 56 Merc Medelist, (Like Ford Vicki) with a '61 Thunderbird 430 with 3 Holly dueces, true 4 sp hydro, locked rear end and a 85 gal shine tank for a rear seat...... could lite 'em up at 6o MPH and lose any cop that thought he had a chance. Real good part was I bought it for $45 at a Pontiac dealer that found the tank in the back ot this old trade-in and just wanted rid of it.
