  • I found a good one

A guy near me has a 79 Special in pretty good condition for sale. Needs carb work as gas leaks out of the air cleaner when it is running. Missing the battery hold down and kick starter, otherwise in pretty good condition, 30,000 on the clock, good paint on tanks and side covers. Just clean it up and fix the stuck float(s) and it's ready to ride. He said he would except $400 so if anyone is interested I will get it and hold it for you. I only have to fix the carbs to get it here.

      It's not working...

Last time I bought one SWMBO looked at the pic and said to offer a bid. This time she said "You really need another one?" I may do it anyway, shine it up and fix the things needed and sell it. Still thinking about it. I may try to get the price down some more.

I admire your love for these machines. Followed your adventures to obtain Pathfinder . it's beyond me to do the same for this one but I hope it finds its way to a worthy place . Best Wishes
