  • Back from the desert

Not that anyone missed my useless banter, but I just thought I would announce that I am officially back and will be back to posting nonsense and gibberish . I spent the last six weeks away from my family and XS living in the desert at 8000' in Eastern Nevada between Ely and Eureka at a place called California Springs. Other than my weekly Friday trips to the giant town of Ely, NV, I spent the time doing geologic mapping to wrap up my degree program. Apparently, Hwy 50 is a big HD riding route. Trips to town were constantly slowed by having to pass SLOW HD's .

Thought I'd share a few pics:

    Home (for 6 weeks)

    The Geo-Dork himself (me)

    Some local wildlife and stuff

    Our June 6th surprise

I had a good time but am glad to be back to my wife, son, and Megathrust. Now the fun part; finding a job

Oh yeah, did I miss any good mods or anything?

    What did you miss!

    Hey Jesse,
Glad you had a fun time camping!

Let's see. There's a nice discussion going on in the Goblins thread from a coleague of yours(MAX-geologist) about this whole recent GREEN movement! Heck, I've been GREEN for years!

I think you saw my forward controls mod before you left!

I think I've finalized the SOFA/Oil Cooler Adapter design, see
this page of the thread for photos and description! The prototype is being shipped off to a fellow Xsive that loaned me his old adapter plate for guidance, so he get's first dibs and the responsibility of making a product report!

You missed the departure of the "VIDEO MIDNIGHT" Cowboy!

SO.....set several hours aside and enjoy catching up!

          "Bottles in the bucket."

A sharp eye you have there, TRBIG. Remind me to poke you in it some time. (You've left me nothing to comment on)

Picturesque country, there. Always nice to get away for a little bit. But always nice to return home, too.
