that used to work. In South America, the South Sea Islands and the Philipines those volcanos lay dormant for centuries at a time. In the old days if the mountain grumbled the local ecclesiastical authorities would howl a few prayers, toss in a Virgin and the mountain would go to sleep again. But these days with over-sexed wealthy Americans just absolutely everywhere the price of a Virgin has climbed to where the average Shaman simply can't compete and up goes the volcano again.
