Who is the new owner of Chrysler?

I heard on the news about a month ago that Chrysler and a investment company had reached an agreement for the sale of Chrysler. That seems to have been the end of the story I havent heard anything else since. Who is this investment company and where are they based out of? What country? You would think the sale of one of the big 3 U.S. auto makers would be more news worthy!! What have you heard?
