XS11 mentioned in latest "Motorcyclist"

The article was talking about the famous V-max (I want one, badly ). It seems that after the success of the XS11, Yamaha let the same designer go nuts on another bike.

The article said the designer put a turbo on his XS, sent it to japan, and told yamaha, "Thats the kind of power I want." The report continued that when the turbo spooled up, it would wheely, no matter what speed

anyone else see the article?

I saw it too. I seem to pick XS11 out as i pass a page. I have always liked Vmax's but the XS has kept me Happy. i like the fact that there is a LOT of stuf out there for them but I've never seen one with bags and a fairing.

I went to the Dallas Bike show and there were 3 V-Max's in the parking lot...A 2000 + 2 2001's I had never heard one of the beasts before...they have an incredible sound!!! I really wanted one, but no wind protection is a bummer...I ride my 79 xs with out a screen and can barely hold on!! I know my xs won't run with a v-max!!FWIW
