Tommy when I join this list I didn't see a thing a bout giving up and rights to say what I wanted to or post what I want, I don't give a damn about Midnight or you ,But when you say we gave up any rights when we joined this list I disagree with you. Then when I do disagree with you you start calling names thats your right I guess, But 30 yrs ago I took a oath to defend those rights! So you can say what you want I'll disagree with you , but because I disagreed with you and you think I'm a melon head because of it now who's wrong or right ? And I understand the 1st and 2nd Amendment better then you think because I won't give them up So the last thing I'm going to say is we both have right to disagree.

        Pat,

I think Madbiker is a little miffed to think he may be sensored.

From what I have gleaned from this thread, the vast majority of thinking is of the "TV Remote" school of thought. In other words, mark the content as potentially offensive, contraversial, flat out gross etc..

To paraphrase, Old enough to ride an XS 1100, old enough to decide what we consider appropriate and wise enough not to look at stuff that offends... If still young enough to experiement, consequences be upon us...

So we can post what we want?? Hmmm... I think some nice porn will do!! lol. Wildkat... can I borrow some of your DVD's to load some on here? Hee hee...

It's all back to basics. If you find you're pissing several people off with what you're posting... stop doing it. Nobody can make everyone happy, but if the majority of people are asking you to quit... take a hint.

As for me... nothing is bugging me on the posts except for the ones that haven't quite got the concept of proofreading what they've typed, so the rest can understand what it is they are saying. It's like listening to a drunk mumble, then bust out laughing! I wanna know what's so funny too! lol.

              Free speach

The 1st Amendment doesn't require that anyone listen to what you have to say, nor does it require that anyone facilitate your saying it.
Strictly speaking, the 1st Amendment only limits the power of the Government. Radio stations can, and do limit what can be said over the air. A website owner/webmaster has every right in the world to control what is posted.
Since we are like a large extended family, I think a matter like this should be decided democratically: the poll is a great idea.

Old bikers never die, they're just out of sight!

My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
              I've been riding since 1959.

I like TomB's idea. Make a new thread/forum for videos like what is being discussed. This way there is more choice and not censorship of any kind.

Personally I visit this site for info on the bikes we own, to share info when I learn, and hopefully find rides to go on!

                      Basically, grow up.

It's not TC's job to shield you from the big bad internet.

No one is forcing you to look at Midnight's or anyone elses posts. You choose to do that on your own.

If your worried about your kids here, I can't see how you let them on the internet at all, or outside your front door for that matter.

Learn to raise your kids, don't expect society to do it for you.

If you don't like someones post, tell THAT person, don't clog up the forum with the whiny posts about who is going to protect you from the big bad world, so that you don't have to do it yourself.

If any of the posts cross over into illegal stuff, I assume they will be dealt with.

Really, I haven't seen anything here, in this forum, that is remotely bad enough to warrant this discussion, let alone any kind of action.

Just my 13 cents (adjusted for inflation)
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

                          Hey Max,

Better to stay that way! He's left anyways, either couldn't get his bike to work right, etc., and decided to sell or part it out! Due to my "status" I can't post any opinions!
