Tommy, so it's true then, they DO wear pink panties and speak with lisps on the Honda sites?

Gotta agree with pggg's first post on this. Seems we ain't as sheltered this side of the canal and can deal with it.

Now could someone please put up an index of these offending vid's to save me hours of searching.

I can understand trying to keep this forum for families but any kid looking on the internet has seen a hell of a lot worse than is posted here on LOTS of other sites, normally on teenager targeted sites and put up BY the teenagers.

I know, I have 17 and 14 year old girls and 6 year old boy who each have internet access in their rooms

Now that's the way to win friends and influence people

But how do you really feel about it, Pat?

Doesn't matter where you live (nor does it matter what color panties you wear... if any)... people from both sides of the pond are more than likely equally offended by both sides of this argument... and it seems that people are getting just as pissy about the defending side of this deal too...

and it isn't a matter of feeling special or trying to pretend "life isn't like that"... everyone knows that it is... but why do we need to be reminded... every single day? That's why we have the news...

As far as what teenagers see on the Internet... That's kind of one of the points... it's everywhere... so why not try to keep the few sites we can from being like the rest of them? not necessarily from censorhip by moderators... but self-censorship.
As was pointed out earlier... people should at least be aware when their posts are offending others...

Like most things, this is a double edged sword.

Does Midnight have the right to post to this forum? Yep.
Do the moderators have the right to bar his postings? Yep.
Does that type of stuff belong on THIS forum? NOPE!

We are all adults (though sometimes I wonder if I have really grown up). We are all smart enough to choose. So lets just choose not to click on offending post. When a stray dog comes around, he will stay if you feed him. If you do not feed him, he will move on. Its just that simple.

I would respectfully disagree. There is no "right" to membership here. This is a private organization. There are only a few criteria that would be possibly illegal or unconstitutional, but as no government money is used to finance the group, many of the anti discrimination laws do not apply. For an extreme/repugnant example, use the KKK. I don't think that they will be extending membership to anyone but whites for the foreseeable future.

For the record, the posts in question have not caused me any distress. I put my two cents in because the XS-XJ OA has every right to establish and enforce a code of conduct. That right stems from the freedom of association guaranteed by the Constitution. I'm not offended, nor am I sheltered. But the "free speech" argument doesn't apply here.

Tommy, I certainly do not disagree with the basis of what you have written. I do not like scenes of death and pronography in this great forum because this is not the place to aire such media. But Midnight, like all of us, has been granted membership in this forum so he should be able to post. What he chooses to post, if not up to decorum, should come under the scrutiny of the moderators......seems to be what is happening, right?

Free speech does apply hence my statement that this is a double edged sword. Free speech, to me, means you have the freedom to say what you want but not without suffering consequences or paying the price therefor. Free speech does not mean you can make statements and get off scott free. So, if in fact this member has continuously breeched the rules of decorum, then John and the other moderators know what they should do. If for some reason, legal or otherwise, they cannot take appropriate action then I refer back to the closing statement in my last post....just dont feed the stray dog.

Seriously, one solution is to have an "off topic" section or site like they do on the XS650 list. The off-topic thing would be where folks could have their political arguments and items of questionable taste could be posted. Moderators would have to step in periodically and remind offenders to take it to the "OT" section and those who want to avoid that stuff can easily avoid it.

                          Sites

The Intruder site i belong to has a Back Room where all the pics and videos are posted, now that is a very vulgar room but you only go there if you wanna so i dont frequent it at all but maybe we should have one. I dont belive in censorship but if it offends the membership in any way then it shouldnt be posted. Just use a little common sense,

I agree free speech does apply here . For one T.C . already said he can post what he wants. Now another one whats to do something about it . Another says make a place for this stuff but look where your at on the forum "the idle talk or off topic forum" I've seen topic of cars to Guns here. So he shot a rabbit that is a pest was it in good taste . No. so now you want to censor him. Do what you want you already made up your mind.
