I live west of dayton, I will be in s. columbus on june 6th. I think it will be an all day affair by the time I drive to columbus and back. I would be happy to give you a hand wit stuff if you're interested. e-mail or PM me. by the way, what do you need help with? I can try to bring some extra tools if there's something specific (if I have them ). let me know. Also, check the members list for ohio & michigan. I believe there are members closer than me. I'm always willing to help out when & where I can, so let me know what I can do.

Hijacking the thread, but the subject line is in line with my topic.

The Fairborn Knights of Columbus are holding the 2nd Annual Father Chris Poker run this coming Saturday and I could use some non Harley type company, specifically more XS's.

The Run starts at the Fairborn K of C Hall at 78 Old Yellow Springs Rd, registration starts at 9:30, first bikes out at 10:30. Proceeds benefit the Wright State University Chapel Fund.

If anyone remembers Father Chris, he was a fixture at the Dayton Blessing of the Bikes for Years.

Sorry to make you explain, but i am extremely new to motorcycles...What is a poker run? and where this one at that you are talking about? (realtive to columbus)

A poker run is where a group of riders get together and ride to pre-designated spots (either in groups or solo, whatever floats your boat) and gets either a card or token for a card at each stop. When the riders get to the final stop, they compare hands and the rider with the best hand wins.

The rides are usually less than a hundred miles in length and take 5 to 6 hours to complete. Stops can be anywhere. The Fr Chris run is a mixture of scenic and commercial stops (bike shops, watering holes/food).

Fairborn is 55 miles west of the west side of Columbus and is right off I-70.

Hey Davins,

Will be in columbus on thursday instead of wednesday. someone rescheduled me in hopes of sending me to Stupidville (Stuebenville), Ohio on wednesday but the trip fell through. I may however end up in Portage Indiana tomorrow afternoon so who knows, stuff breaks, I go fix it (or at least tell them what really expensive part they broke). anyway, I plan on being in Columbus from 10:00 - 10:30 and will probably finish my work @ around 2:00 - 2:30. being it is around 2 hours to drive back to dayton, (to those of you who live in the area, yes, I putz around going home) I will be free to do whatever on thursday as the powers that be will not be expecting me in the office thursday afternoon.
