Just on a side note here....

I have put @ 11,000 miles on this bike through assorted heads and motors. Thanks to John, this is honestly the very first time I have changed my oil because I had enough miles on it to do it. I have always had to have it apart for some reason or other and have never got the chance to just ride it without problems. Very sad, but true. Also very very cool now.

I was ready to burn this bike.... I vented to Kat MANY times!! After about 1,000 miles this last weekend with Hobbyman, I pulled into a gas station with the biggest grin. I just looked at him and said "I LOVE this bike!!" As much as I have tried to blow it up the last couple months riding it hard... it seems to be at a point where it's going to run a while. I may have just jinxed it... but it is such a cool thing to just be able to jump on it and go every day with no worries. Thanks again John.

Yeah, This is the first time I had to change my oil from mostly two trips. I changes the middle and final gear oil also. After a nice wash it looks really good.

Glad you guys made it home ok. It was a pleasure to meet you both, hope we can do it again and I can ride along with you. This area was populated by Wa****a or Wa****aw Indians. The French explorers changed the spelling to conform to their language, thus Ouachita. Many of the creeks and rivers in the state retain to this day the French names. I hope I can get my XJ11 looking as good as your XS11s. As soon as I can get the pics hosted I'll post a link.

Just got back from the family reunion in Ardmore, OK. It was good. I mention this because Tucker tower where we had dinner at was also built for the Dutch Queen Wilamena. They started it in the 40's and the WPA was forced to halt construction because of the war. It fell into disrepair and then they decided to finish it later. Its was completed in the 70's. Now it is being remodeled along with the lodge at the lake. That is a good thing because the lodge no longer looks like the hotel in "The Shinning."
