I have a '79 XS 1100 Special that I have recently started having some real issues with. First was the tach deal, which I have corrected by peeling off the face, lubing the snot out of the drive, cleaning the board around it, and POOF it started working better than when I bought the bike last year.
Second, I noticed the I now have no power to the headlight. I have read through the posts under the repair section and am not sure if I want to jury rig the wiring and remove the reserve lighting unit altogether because although some may believe it is a rather useless piece of engineering, I don't think that the engineers put it there for no reason either.
Third, it seems that my right turn signal stopped working, well rather it only partially works. It comes on, but doesn't shut off so I need to manually turn it on and off to give it the appearance of functionality. Not sure if this is a bulb issue or not, haven't really had the time to investigate it.
Any help or thoughts about this would be greatly appreciated.

Life is not about what happens to you, but rather how you handle what happens to you.
