It appears to be a "special" as it has the round head light. Looks like it is in pretty good shape just looking at the coloring on spedo, etc. LOOKS like he has a set of spagetti headers for it that are bringing big bucks. One set just sold on ebay for $550 + shipping and there is now another set with a buy it now price of $550.

Looks to me like a special...with a nice set of spagetti pipes to boot!

Those pipes are worth quite a bit all on their own. Pretty rare item.

As always with Ebay, never bid until the last minute (or less, if you have a fast connection). Just wait out the auction and see where it ends up. All bidding does is raise the price.

I picked up an 80 Special for $254 on Ebay. Proved to be a great deal.

it looks like they slid down the pipes..... they have to be there unless the two centers are cut.....

                exquized1,

Take a look at this: 300109064013

It might give you an idea of what those pipes are worth in good shape.

Sorry, I guess you can't go there directly but the e-bay # is good.

I have these on my SF, very nice pipes, but the muffs are getting rusted out. Wish I could find some muffs with a 3 inch inlet. I paid about $250.00 in 1990, were discontinued from M A W

                      What a bargain!

The bike sold for $180! I'd have paid more than that just for the pipes...but I didn't have to! That was me that won the auction. Exquized1 and I worked out a deal, where I would bid on the bike, up to $300, and he and I would split the cost, and he would ship the pipes to me, and for $150 he would get the rest of it. Well, we made out like a bandit. It's only going to cost each of us $90. For a decent, shine-able set of spaghetti pipes, I don't think that was too bad. Do you?

hey John, does this mean you may be willing to part with those rusted s'ghetti pipes on the 'newly acquired mns' for shipping cost?

                          MNS pipes

I just might be, but let me warn you... They are solid rust, no chrome or paint on them anywhere. I was quite disappointed when I saw the bike in person. I'm glad that I didn't pay much more than $100 for it. A PO had cut about 6 inches off the ends of the mufflers, removed the baffles and welded in some large washers like the discs in a Supertrapp. If you're still interested, I can take some pics in a couple of days and put them up so you can see them.

as long as they do not turn to powder during shipping, could always use as a template for custom fab exhaust.
