I know the road that he mentions very well. It is on top of a dam at Grapevine Lake. Very nice stretch...very narrow, two lanes with a lake on one side and a sheer drop on the other. It's quite long, and can be ridden quite fast. DAMHIK!? But at night? I don't know...

Y'all (technical term) are forgetting that this is Texas...and the D/FW area in particular. Standard night speed on the freeway is 80mph in order to NOT get run over. I commute in this crap every day...my inbound commute is at 4:30am. I'm not slow...but the place I have to watch the most...the most dangerous quadrant...is my rearview. The drunks will flat run you down.

A "C" note is not that much of a stretch. DO be careful though. Those speeds are to be reserved for special occasions.

Once made my 22 mile commute in one song's length...started Meatloaf's "Anything for Love" on my mp3 player when I pulled out of the driveway...it ended when I shut off the bike at work...my version of the song is 12:00 minutes long.

One morning commuter got a ticket for 134mph on the Dallas North tollway. A ticket! (they used to arrest for 20+ over). He actually does hold the record....

        HobbyMan,

We all gotta die sometime. I am glad some deer, sprinkler shooting over the road (I know this ) or miscreant cager didn't decide it was your time

By the way, that stuff below my name is just a joke
