      You are right! A "79" Maxim would be a rare find. Bike looks to be in good shape though. I wish it wasn't so cost prohibitive to ship a bike north of the border.

        Actually it does look pretty good. One engine guard bent, mirrors are not original, front tire looks to be Kenda brand, cheap, but these are pretty minor issues. Rear fender seems to have been modified, perhaps bobbed, as my XJ mounts the license plate above the tail light and this one looks to have the license plate mounting bracket below the tail light. Again, not hard to swap back to stock, but may be an indication (plus bent engine guard) that the bike was T-boned or in some kind of accident in its history. Would really like to take a close-up look, but it is 1,200 miles away.....
