I am looking out my office window at 3" of new snow, and I read a post from Florida from a guy named Snow.

      What a wonderful world...

Florida!! when are you hosting an XS rally? I am there !!

Anyway Santa Clause already rides an XS! Shown here on his Goldwing at XS Camp 2001 in Colorado (heading up the road to Pike's Peak)...but he did bring the XS to XS East 2002 in the Thousand Islands region of NY.

P.S. Santa rides fast and hard......and yes there is a DOT approved helmet under that fuzzy red hat!!

I have been wanting to go on a rally for a while, maybe next time some people decide to go to the Carolinas again I can come see how the whole show operates and then host on down here

You can keep your snow and you can keep the cold rain up there to. Makes a rotten day to ride or work in . Hows it going up there in the Pa. freezer?

                  hey Mad, hows life?

Cold here, got 3 inches of that white stuff yesterday.
                  Forecast:
                  Thurs - snow late
Fri - Snow - Oh boy! Lake Effect Snow, my favorite.
                  Sat - Snow
                  Sun - Snow
Sunday is when the arctic air moves in. Then it gets cold.
Man, when I hit the lottery......

Until then, you warm climate riders chime in once in a while so we snow bound can ride vicariously. Take the long way home from work, describe in detail the twists, the turns, the road hogs you zoomed, the chill of a fresh tank of gas 'tween yer legs...

Gotta stop, I'm gettin' all misty and everthing [sniff sniff].

If anyone cares to see a very poorly taken picture of my bike taken by me today with an old digi-cam, here ya go

She needs a bath and still needs quite a bit of work, but at least she runs and has a tank that isn't full of holes and rust

Old pic from right after I got her from the junk yard:

You can be sure I'll take more (and hopefully better) pictures after I put on the new SS brakelines and definately after I have her painted dark green.

Also, I plan on putting new 4-1 Jardine or MAC exhaust on her along with the Wiseco 1179 bore kit. I may end up chroming the side covers too. Just as quickly as my wallet can afford

Nice job so far. Looks better than my 78 Standard. Of course, mine isn't "Special" with that head light.

Keep up the great work. Remember photos!!

Are you buried in that white stuff yet ?You know for a state was dry as could be we sure got nailed the last two months. I don't ever think I'm ever going to get that house dried in, but rain beats snow hands down . Is your bike in storage yet .I have to get mine in for the states yearly check up over due as it is. get that then it comes apart for some paint and body work. Have you heard from Bruce lately.

Yeah, the first snow usually is the signal to hibernate, that was mid October.
20 degrees at this writing, had some snow again this morning.
Found a guy who used to upholster, is going to redo my seat. I have a travelcade now, hope to get a more traditional style so I can ride for more than an hour at a time. Could use a paint job, but I think I will wait. No other work planned, it just runs too well.

Keeping in touch with Bruce, well, Deb anyway.

Cabin fever is setting in already, think spring!!!
