        Wife has her own bike.
I take the kids for rides and occasionally Sarah from across the street (36 yo hottie).
But 99.99% of the time I'm solo.

Most of my bikes have single racing seats and coincidently today I just picked up another single seat to go on my Rat bike.

So yep I'm a single rider.

My missus ain't a biker at all, but doesn't mind me enjoying the bikes.

She rarely rides with me in town but is always up for a rally ride, toy run or some other bike function. Did not ride much with me when we lived in Albuquerque 'cause I mostly hung out with canyon carvers. Since moving to Austin, and hooking up with the TeXSive group, she has gotten more seat time than ever and really likes it. She is a top notch tailgunner. Rarely exhibits any signs of fear regardless of speed or lean angle. A firm squeeze on my hips indicates she had developed some concerns but all in all she just lets me do my thing. She is just as comfortable at triple digit speeds as she is cruisin along at 50. I get the most "prodding" when we ride in town.

SWMBO LOVES to ride with me! She's really good at riding pillion. I don't even notice her when I'm bustin' a move.

We will take Packmule, more often than not, when we do our little shopping trips around town.

Of course, the weekends, weather providing, are all bike time!

She may even get her own one day.

My SO used to like to ride ont he back, until she got her own bike. Now she won't anymore.

I've been in more than one Hemisphere, and I wrote a book to help you do it too (or just prepare better for that week long road trip). Going Small, not just for the little guys.

SWMBO used to ride with me until we had a couple kids, now she no longer rides. Says the kids shouldn't lose both parents in the same accident....

So now I am a solo rider, have been for many years.

SWMBO rides with me and enjoys, but she gets fidgety and moves around unexpectedly. I tried to talk her into her own bike (of course, when I tried to teach her to ride my old XS400, she almost gave me a coronary at the ripe old age of 27).

She's lost nearly 40 pounds since last riding season so maybe we'll be better this year. (Yeah, I'm proud of her)

                      Pillion alternative

My 2nd marriage was a package deal; me and my 3 bikes, her and her 2 sons. Accommodations must be made in that sort of deal, especially about pillion riding.
The poor trusting sweetheart had no fear of the real problem, getting involved in a collision, but plain hated the pillion riding position "If I wanted to sit like that" she said "I'd go see my gynecologist "
so she stayed home which put a damper on the togetherness thing. This led to a resurgence of my youthful obsession with sidecars. Now I sit on the XS11 and she sits right next to me in the sidecar playing Elvis on her discman. Together again!

Wildkat used to ride on the back of mine, but since she's gotten her own bike, we don't ride two up much anymore, unless it was out of service. Now we have the Foster Child road worthy, so if her FJ11 goes down, she rides the FC. There are those times that she just wants to ride on the back of mine, and I really like the soft curvy backrest she provides!

Do you also drive seperate cars? I see more auto accidents where 2 or more occupants die than motorcycle accidents where both die. (I work at a trauma center).

                          Sorry, couldn't help it.
