No one has mentioned "Two Feet" in case one foot hits a puddle of oil or anti-freeze.(Done that, too)

good point, I didn't even think about that.
Here in Jacksonville sometimes the streets are so slick from the tree sap,I think is what it is, that when my feet hit the ground sometimes they slip. Sometimes both.

My inseam is shorter than the bike is tall, so when I stop I can only get one foot (the left) completely planted. I do make sure I fully brake with the front and back brakes. I will put both down on the balls of my feet if it's a particularly long or awkward position stop.1981 XS1100SH
