  • "Guru, Guru, Guru!"

    What's this I see?
I've been watching the numbers tally upward for quite some time.
There he is... our own red-headed step-child...
Joined the ranks of the Almighties...
(and can't even legally drink the celebratory beer yet!)
    HOBBYMAN
Larger than life... stranger than fiction...

(Thanks to TRBIG for capturing this moment in XS History)
I wasn't there... so I can only imagine what is going on.
Hobbyman is either saving a spot to park his bike, absorbing radiant heat from the cement or trying to hide the oil spots he dripped on John's driveway.
(The plate was a nice touch, though I'd rather have seen cutlery sticking out of his chest.)
    Anyway, Hobbyman...
Let me be the first (and probably the only), to congratulate you on your fine accomplishment.
Without you on this site, I would only have TRBIG and MRO to mock and tease.(WildKat, too, but she fights back)
Someone in Texas, buy that boy a drink fer me.

    Congrats HobbyMan!

I was going to give you a hard time about fluffing your way to the top... but then you went and posted something Guru-ish next door regarding temps and ruined my nefarious plan...

Hey prometheus... we have more pics of him on the ground... but we're holding them as bribery material...

Okay... one Dr. Pepper for the newest Guru! Hey! We can ride down to Dublin and get the real thing for you... Unless it doesn't warm up... in which case we will just hit the Chicken Express on the corner of Brown Trail and Bedford-Euless Rd. that advertises it on their marquis...

      Okay,

Hobbyman's Status has been changed to GURU according to customary XS11.com protocal.....however with his recent FLUFFING, and meteoric attainment of same, his Other "earned" status will remain until proven truly worthy, and he will have then earned a change!

Is his new status "King Fluffer Guru?" No, wait. We'll have to save that one for when Midnight1980 goes guru . All fun aside, congratulations, Hobbyman. Now quit teasing that boy with ridiculous sodas and someone buy that boy a beer (its not like he's never had one .

Dang it. I didnt think anyone would notice. Yeah there has been a little fluffing along the way. That's what happens when you are up late at nights on the computer when you can't sleep. At least I was trying to help with carb problems for my 1000 post. Then I come back this morning and everyone successfully said what I was trying to say. Anyway, I kinda did not realize what was happening until I saw 990 sitting down there. As for words of wisdom, I can't really speak any. The only thing I can speak are words of experiences on what not do to. I am sure most of you have seen "On any Sunday," but I laughed at the scene when he closed his garage door at night. Lets see, how many nights have I spent out there? That probably why my neighbors hate me. Just be glad you don't live near me. I am the guy who wakes everyone up on leaving for the test ride at 2 in the morning. oops. I will try to be more guruish for those of you in this distinguished club. Hopefully I won't stick out like a sore thumb. One last note, my goal was to make guru before I left for college. Looks like I am a few months early. THat way when I an sitting in my dorm making random posts, people will be forced to read what I say. Ahh my plan is cooming to action. oops, did I really type that?

Congrates on your new "GURU" status young man. Now you know that It's a silent requirement of obtaining GURUness that you must now make an XSIVE road trip around the country, ( or at least an iron butt run ) I too, am gearing up for GURUness, I just take a little bit longer ( Rush down and get a cow or ease down and get em all ).

according to the previous acedemic dean, underclassmen are not allow to have vehicles. I also heard that no one is allowed to have a motorcycle. I guess when the gov't is paying for your education, they don't want you killed in an accident.
