  • We are the newest owner of an 80 MNS!

I just copped it on ebay for $107! It was listed as a running when parked parts bike, but it is missing the carbs, gauges and handlebars, but I have those items on hand, if I deem it restorable. It needs paint, polish, and TLC, but we can do that. It even has spaghetti pipes on it, and those alone are worth $100. That is the main reason I wanted it. It is Lubbock, Tx, so now I'll have to find a truck to drive out there and pick it up. Any members in my area wanna go for a road trip?
Here are some pics, check it out.

WK has been polishing (shining) her ass off on the 81 getting it ready for the rally on the 28th. When she gets done, the bright work may almost equal HippyDave's Shameless Hussy. The paint won't, but we are going to paint it this summer. She volunteered to do the polishing on the MNS if we do restore it. That all depends on what it looks like in person. The pipes may be getting installed on my bike after I get them looking good again. I may be picking it up this Thursday, if I can get transportation by then.

I was debating putting a bid on it because of the fortune it was going to cost me to go get it. The bike is only $100 but it costs almost double that to go get it in gas alone at 11mpg with my family's old Suburban. Can't wait to see it John. It will give you some opportunities to brush up on your polishing skills Wildkat.

                      Gosh... where to start...

                      How about here?
The paint won't, but we are going to paint it this summer.
We? By we... he means... me... again...

Ummm... yeah... okay... like I need practice...

John may be the mechanical genius here... but I'm getting this polishing thing down...

(Next I'm going for Germaning... and then maybe Italianing...)

HobbyMan... give some of us a break who DON'T have a thousand XSs in our garage...
                      Again I say...

This one should round out our collection though... The only thing that I would like to see added after this is maybe a complete Midnight for a certain feline female... but as long as we have one in the stable... it's all good... Besides... Foster Child is starting to look pretty danged good...

No amount of time polishing will get this bike near the beauty of Shameless Hussy... but it's worth reaching for the stars...
