Sorry Hobbyman, I was just staying with the Yamaha terminology, admittedly it's confusing.

On the LG, LH, XJ1100 and 5K7 models it's called an 'Oil Pump Cover'.

On the Standards, SF, SG, SH and 2H9 models it's called a 'Breaker Cover'. (which does make more sense!)

Hey Lamric

Where exactly in the UK are you located? I spent two years over in Upper Heyford when I was in the Air Force. I was there from 74 to 76. Loved it. Great country and great people. Of course the Skoal (hope I'm spelling that right) lager wasn't too bad either.

Cajun, That's good countryside round there, I'm less than 100 mile from the base but in the south side of London.

By the way, the lager is spelt Skol and I prefer the typical english warm, dark, muddy 'real' ale !
