I have that article, i bought the mag back in 78
one of the guys on that trip lied about the bike
did any of you guys notice it

he claimed that he shut off the headlight and passed a car then turned it back on.

the headlight stays on once the engine is running and doesn't shut off,
so how could he shut it off

check it out on page 35

Doesn't the 78 have an On Off switch for the headlight? The 78 parts bike that I bought did.

it does have a off and on switch
but it only works when the bike is off

The best line from the article: Owners will have to get used to the snatch, and live with it. Apparently the snatch that came with my XS was lost by the original owner. And I'm pretty sure that an old XS won't be getting any new snatch. Sigh.
