  • Ontario Chapter of XS11

My that Gary fellow has some great ideas. As he stated Ontario Canada is a big area to cover. This summer I travelled in a small triangle this summer. Between Sarnia my home across to Kitchener and down to Lake Erie or London. In Kitchener at a place called WHISKEY JACK I saw a yellow XS11 that was done up like a chopper. What caught my eye about the bike was the odd sort of chrome pipes from the carbs to the air filters. Never got to talk to the owner.

If you have not heard of WHISKEY JACK it is a bar in that the parking lot ever tuesday night is full of bikes.
(They call it BIKE NIGHT) The last tuesday of the summer monthes they have a show and shine. I was there the last tuesday of July this year and there was over 800 bikes.

I was in Port Dover Friday September 13 2002 and only spotted one other XS11. So I guess I am looking for XS11 owners in the triangle that I spoke of.

I am sort of in that triangle you spoke of, just across the river and south, in Warren, just north of Detroit. There is another owner in this area that I know of. Have sent him a e-mail but no reply. Would like to get together sometime with some other owners, especially if someone is going to adjust valves or sync carbs as I have never done this before.

Hi Bruce. I'm not too far away from you in Windsor,ON. Nice to find another XSsive in the area. Valves are not difficult to do, and while I am no expert, I have a carb sync tool and would be more then happy to hone my skills on your machine.

Brian, Thanks for the offer, that would be great. Let me know a tentative month, week, or day. Every other week I have a four day weekend, so I'm real flexible on those weekends. I'll bet there will be others interested too. Or even just for a local get-togther/ride.

Any of you guys in Ontario like to meet tomorrow (Sunday)? I've got the itch for a good ride and thought it might be a good time to meet a fellow xsive. I know it's last minute but thought I'd try. It's going to be cool but dry. Sarnia, Windsor London?

Sorry Bruce, just caught this on Sunday morning. I am on my way out as I type this to a contract ratification vote, but should be back home shortly after noon. If it stays dry, yes, sounds like a great idea. Email me direct if you want, b-shepley@cogeco.ca and we can firm up some plans.
