If you take the bike and compare it to what is available today, I expect you would see around $9,000 for for a 'standard' 4-across 2-up naked Japanese bike.

      MY 2005 $8,500 FZ-1 is a naked 4-across 4 carbs 2-up and I paid $8000.
Main differences is the FZ-1 has shorter wheelbase, chain drive, 6 speed trans, bit of a fairing.
The '06-'07 is fuel injected and not much different from the '05, but is around $9,000.

I think if shaft drive were to be offered in the imaginary '07 XS11 the price would probably be the same.

Isn't that a great shot of the bike? The oil pan and all. Look how far he's leaning, and still has room for more. BUT... lol. Look at the rider. I realize he's leaning off to the left, but did the jockies have a day off at the horse track? The poor guy doesn't look like he weighs a buck soaking wet. The size of his helmet compared to him makes him look like a Star Wars Storm Trooper...lol. With the way these bikes move with someone my size... I bet that would be a lot of fun with someone like him.

            Hey Tod,

He's using the racetrack seat sliding technique for taking tight corners. Gary Granger(66) suggested that to me during a run thru Deal's Gap a few years ago cause I was scraping pegs and pipes. Moving my center of gravity farther over towards the inside of the turn allowed me to make the same rate of turn without having to lean the bike as far over, not scraping, and hence the large amount of room between the XS11 and ground in that pictured turn!

But I got tired of doing that, so I repositioned my centerstand and muffler so I COULD lean more without having to slide all around! If I wanted to be sliding like that, I would have gotten a REAL crotch rocket!
