So what happened to the October meet that was discussed? Hopefully we'll have another get together around the Talimina area somewhere in the September timeframe.

I stole the stator off my parts bike and fixed all my charging problems.. so not that it really matters... I'll be dropping by to bug John and Kat before then (She looks so cute in her baggy T-shirt while cooking me... er I mean John and I breakfast!) But it would be nice to get a few others around so they don't get too tired of just me! We all know that doesn't take too long to do.

OK Mark and Kat... opened myself right up there... have at it! lol.

I haven't heard from Hobbyman lately... did he actually die from eating too much? I hope not... I could sure use some help in a few months rebuilding my motor... lol.

Well crap... I guess if I could type faster... I would see more... June in the Dallas area on an air cooled bike?? Man... someone better be buying the Shiner! (Oops... ummm... that would prolly be me! )
I guess that beats July or August time. Maybe we could go to the car show BEFORE it actually closes this time... Who's fault was that again??

          October

Well... the Hill Country ride for the TeXSives is around the same time and I didn't want it to conflict with anything that's why we decided on June... John wants to do the Talihina run in the Fall and we will probably try to do the Hill Country ride as well (if we can get the kiddoes taken care of)...

However... as previously stated... anyone who wants to come down (over... up) for a ride around John's birthday (October 3rd) is MORE than welcome... and a few... are expected...

Just a week late, but thought I'd put a few pictures of the meet up. I got there Friday afternoon. After a little conversation and a cool down for the bike, John and I jerked the knocking motor out of my XJ.

Later that evening, Brent and Andrew (Hobbyman) came by. John and Kat had smoked up some briskett and a turkey... Yum!!

The next morning, Brent and Andrew showed up again, along with Mark (Dale_1). All of us tore into the XJ motor, replaced all the bearings thanks to John, and put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

At some point, Dan (Oseaghda), Dave (Hippy Dave), and Greg (Skippy) and his wife Lynda showed up. Here is a picture of Dave's piece of junk bike... We all needed sunglasses to even look at the thing! : )

We got my XJ back together just in time to catch the end of a car show (See Kat's links for the Christian Cruiser's Club in the rally section) Here's the bikes that went that night.

And here is John and Greg trying to figure out how to steal this guy's rims without him knowing it. They finally decided they couldn't get them home on the bikes anyway.. so they left empty-handed. : )

Sunday morning, Daniel (DragonRider) showed up and chatted for a bit before everyone else got there. He couldn't make it on the ride as well as Mark, who was visiting his dad. The ones that did make it were John and his son Chase, Andrew, Dave, Greg and Lynda, (She was hurting from a recent back surgery, but with a spoonfull of pills.. she hung right in there like a trooper! lol) <<<Inside joke on that one.. lol.. as well as Brent, Kat, and me. We had a nice little ride of about 70 miles around the Ft Worth area and a lake. Here's a picture of John and Kats other three kids and the faithfull association sign.. then a few of the ride.

And here's Mr Grumpy... You never see Brent without a smile!

And here is one of the times that Dave would take off and leave the pack behind. Nobody else wanted to go that fast, so we all stayed behind and no one bothered to chase him... especially me.

After the rest of the group caught up to us... errr.. I mean Dave.. lol.. we finished up the ride and headed back to John and Kat's for some more excellent food. There were SEVERAL Harley riders that actually passed us (We were in a group, ok??) going the same direction that saw what we were riding, and waved. Pretty cool. Greg and Lynda along with Hippy Dave decided to head back home after the ride.. they had a long trip home. They missed some good food, and we missed their great company. Mark showed up in time for the food... HUGE burgers and chicken cooked on the smoker. John started cooking, but after Kat took over..... Awwww... Makes ya wanna kiss the cook doesn't it??

And here's one of Andrew's bikes.

After a nice visit and eating way too much, everyone went their seperate ways... except me of course! lol. You know... the house guest who won't go away!?!? lol. I was having some charging problems and was afraid to leave at night. The next morning, John and Kat decided to ride part of the way home with me. I think they just wanted to get me far enough into Oklahoma so that it was closer for me to just go home, than it was to follow them back to their place. lol. Here's Kat on her FJ...

And here's John in his "Cruise" mode...

And finally, here's one of Kat and her better half. If you look close, you can even see John in the picture too!! : )

I can't wait to see you guys again next month, and meet some new ones.

            Tod

P.S. I have lots better quality pics of these and others if anyone wants any... I reduced them pretty bad to get them on here. I will be charging 2 bucks a piece for the last picture though! Hee hee.. : )

Slipping down from the brass pole...

Geez Tod... you had to go and tell EVERYone? How the heck am I supposed to get in shape? Have you ever tried to hang onto a pole with just your thighs? ummmmm... maybe I should rephrase that...

Ohhh exquized1... you did, indeed, miss a very good time... but you are partly the reason we decided to move it to a warmer time of the year...
The official annual start date for the Meeting of the XSive Minds is June of 2008 the weekend before the 26th... but unofficially.. this year, anyone who wants to come down for the Christian Classic Cruisers meet the weekend of June 16th is MORE than welcome... But nothing official is planned... Their schedule is posted in the rallies section for anyone interested... some REALLY nice cars there... definitely worth checking out...
