Hang in there bud, make the best of life, but take care of yourself. Heridity is hard to beat, but it can be done. More veggies, fewer beers and no smoking. Take SWMBO for a walk in the evening and think positive. Praying for ya.

Yes that sucks but what can a person do? We need to be happy they can save our butts nowadays whereas years ago we be dead as doornails. Smokeing drinking what ever yea its not good for you but genetics overrides all that stuff. My wifes great great grandfather smoked and drank hard liquer all his life but lived a good life until he was 99 and a half. Anyway good luck and good times for you in the future. You will LIVE

            We'll be praying for you.

Man that's really sad to hear. My Dad passed on Nov, 14 '01 the day before his 63rd b'day. Had a major, massive coronary. The Dr. siad that he was probably dead before he hit the floor.
He lived in Osseo, Mn. and I have a lot of relatives in that area still. We wish you well, and a speedy recovery.

              "Clogged oil lines..."

Ljay, by the end of the month you'll be back here tellin' all us older folks all about it. Pictures would be nice, too.

I just reread the title of your thread. Through the groin, huh? ...better than cuttin' in.
Two years ago they went in for a look-see. (groin) I rather enjoyed the experience... well, maybe 'cause I haven't had anyone fiddlin' down in that area for a while.
Got to watch the whole thing on the big screen. Rather interesting... from a mechanic's point of view.

Been there done that several times. I am still one jump ahead of bypass surgery which scares the crap out of me! They saw you done the brest bone, pry you open, use a pump in place of your heart as it is stopped, cut a section of vein out of your leg, tie it in on the upside an downside of your blockage and wire you back together. So technically your dead for awhile! A few people never wake up. I think it is about 5 times now for angioplasty. My original (2) stints were non coated and I developed restenosis (body rejects them and develops scar tissue on the ends which cause a blockage) then it was stints on the ends, they nuked the ends once to stop the scar tissue and finally they installed a coated stint in the stints. This was luckily done through a small incision next to your you know what sack. I went from taking asprin for a head ache (Bud Light variety) to (5) medications that cost about $100 a month (not bitching on the cost mind you). Long story short, the chemo coated stint (MAKE SURE YOUR CARDIOLOGIST USES MEDICATED STINTS) has kept me off the 12 inch wide board for a year now. Oh and make sure they use a sharp razor for your shave job!!!!!! One time they used a dull one and knicked/scratched up that "sensitive" area. Removing the big chunk of tape brought tears to my eyes. Good Luck and let us know how you turn out.

How correct your are about teh mediacted stents
the doctor has talked about them fully and the risks of not using them as scar tissue does build up
My first 2 seem to be hanging in there as they were just the stainless brand
The doctor told me that I would have to stay on a drug called Plavix for a year to help the blood platelets to flow smooothly
the first time I had only had to use that drug for a month
I laffed about the sharp razor Oh How I member that the first time
                  YEOUCH!!

Welp alls well that ends well Turns out had a 50% blockage in the right coronary artery and they wont place stents till its hits 70% So this is a good thing Something about the dont fix if it aint broken yet rule. and risks of stent plugging up with scar tisssue. the other 2 stents are doing there job real well so all in all it was a GREAT DAY.So now I get to sit around for 3 days and cant lift anything over 10 lbs so its a great time to get some XScessivley good reading in.
Thanks to everyone for well wishes and prayers and concerns
