  • Feeling like "Road Trip"....

Sun is shining and the weather is nice and I feel like a road trip. Maybe a 4 day weekend thing, maybe up 395 to 120 then through Yosemite and some nice non-freeway ride back home. Camping and Motel every other day..... Hmmmmmmmm... Maybe could get to meet some other XS'sives as I pass through their area...

      Texas...

Ah yes, Texas is a good idea, except my lack of planning and instead sudden impulses. SWMBO just returned from a trip to Mexico with her sister and just anounced that she will be going again next month and it made me feel like a road trip. She can stay at home with the kids (dogs) while I go.

I suppose Texas would be fun, but on such short notice would be a challenge. Pathfinder is up to the trip I'm sure. Let me think that over, maybe run it by SWMBO and guage the reaction then decide.

I'm in Modsto, 70 miles east of Yosemite on 120. A couple of XSives here and a few in the San Fran bay area.
        When ya comming through?
I'm not sure but Tioga pass (120) might still be closed to through traffic.

          More info...

I'm now thinking late April or early May for a middle California run. Still thinking about up 395 maybe to Tahoe or Reno! I would like to make it at least a Fri - Mon trip and I'm hoping to meet XSives here and there. Probably arrange the route to get as close to as many as possible. I'll keep y'all posted as plans are finalized. Of course there is the possibility of doing it in reverse in case others would like to go to Reno. I could go north to SF area and then east to Reno and join up with those who are into the ride.
