      A sad day indeed.

One of the first guitar gadgets I ever bought was a Rockman distortion generator, invented by Tom Scholz, their guitar player.

I still wish I had that thing even today. Near infinte sustain!

        Yep,
Sad to hear of his passing!

Wonder if the band will try to continue with a replacement? Wonder how long before we see them on Rock Star?

Wish Queen had done like INXS in finding a new lead. I like Paul Rodgers for Free and Bad Co., but not for Queen!

Anybody got the new remastered versions of Boston's original releases?

They always were one of my favourite bands. Haven't heard them for a while.
But I will do that today, just to remember him.
XS1100 and XS650- what do you need more?

They might get a replacement singer (they have before), but I doubt they will ever be on that show. Scholz is a profound hater of the music industry. I'd imagine he'd die himself before allowing it...

I saw them in 76. Just a few weeks after the release of their first album. They opened up for Blue Oyster Cult in Lewiston Maine. I saw the as a headliner in San Diego, and then a few years ago here in Dallas. At the Dallas show they had two lead singers, Delp, and another guy that Delp said could hit the higher notes that he couldn't hit any more. The second show was quite a production. They had a huge pipe organ on stage, and they threw up a wall of sound. I really love thier music. Too bad they only released three albums.
