Was my first motorcycle movie and an inspiration to get into desert racing, which I did, which hurt me multiple times, which I would do again in a heartbeat. Did you find a place to get a copy of the movie? When I mention Malcolm Smith, people think he was some guy on a sit-com.

I remember waking up on the morning of the races, breakfast cooking on the coleman stove, coffee pot bubbling away, the hiss of chain lube cans and the pungent aroma of Castrol laced gasoline exhaust smoke wafting over the many camp sites. And then, riding like hell thru a 100 miles of land that God had deemed uninhabitable, on purpose. My trusty DT400 shooting roosts of sand a rocks, I gotta quit, brings a tear to my eye.

Yep. Got my copy. Took me years to find. Did you ever catch the fact that the kid on the bicycle in the opening credits is doing the wheelie around a turn!.

                  Copy

I would like to find a copy of the movie. I seen it listed at the theater years ago but had to work that day and the next day they had pulled it . So if someone can tell me where to get one I would appreciate it.

                  Thanks Tom

I just watched it for the first time. What a great movie. I knew McQueen motorcycle raced but I wasn't for sure because all of this was before my time. Its cool to see him doing stuff other than the Hollywood Genera. Along with that, I watched the the 1958 The Wild Ones. That movie was good too. Wow, just caught the movie on tv while surfing, saw it a dozen times when it first came out. I was already doing a lot of desert racing in SoCal, I was told that our group raced with Malcom and Steve (Harvey Mushmen) McQueen quite often but we were always towards the back of the pack, not the front. Story of my life. Oh well, the 400 Husky gave me a lot of great memories, just like the ones Webbcraft2150 has.
