  • XS-XJ Banner

Anybody know where it is/who has it? We'd like to have it for our gathering on the 17th. I could Paypal the shipping cost to who ever has it.
I know it's short notice, but I would think Priority Mail could get it here in time.

There is a banner shop on Grapevine highway. If everyone pitched in some money, I am sure we could come up wth another one if the real one did not show up.

I have both the "Yamaha" banner and the "XS 11 Owner's Association" banner; having paid for both in the past. Yamaha banner was from eBay, Owner's Association was made for the 2001 Colorado rally and cost about $120.00 at that time.

Let me know address where you want it shipped; price for priority mail is generally around $10 - $12

Let me know ASAP, banner is in the attic of my garage (moved last summer and it ended up there) so I'll need to find it.....

I think both banners are in the same tube. If you want both shipping will be a couple dollars more.

Thanks Jerry. I think just the XS-XJ banner will be cool, but if they are in the same tube, send 'em both. I'll PM you with my address.
        Thanks

IIRC, there's a small notebook in the tube with the banner for exactly that purpose! Jewrry - I'm pretty sure the banners are in two tubes...

              banners banners everywhere

Ok, so what's the plan for the TXsive / Jacksonville rally?

I'm not the only one in Jacksonville proper am I?

Either me or Hobbyman could bring it up after the 18th...... probably Hobbyman since he's comin in that Friday (27 Apr) and lives so close to John etc etc.

I could have Larissa House hang it for us the night before.

Then I could send it to the next rally point.

I didn't know there was a Banner. I woulda requested it for the Yamaha Grand Opening in Poteau awhile back.

              Dragon made that one.........

The banner has been featured at several rallies; you can see it at Revelstoke in one of the photos (#16) at this web page:

                http://homepage.mac.com/jerryfields/PhotoAlbum3.html

Last year I added the Yamaha banner as a companion to the XS Owner's Association banner.

Deal is that I keep it in the off season; if you want to use it (or them) drop me an e-mail and I'll send it out. Ship to the next rally organizer if he/she wants it, or return to me after you are done with it.

If you use the banner, please have attendees sign the little spiral notebook which is included with the banner.

John, Are you cooming to Jacksonville? If it is necessary, I can transport the banner.

Ah, yes. Thanks for the reminder, Jerry. With a couple or three feet of snow still in the backyard, memory of last summer's rally was starting to fade a bit. A quick browse through the album brought it all back again!

I/we am/are planning on making the JAX ( that's airline speak for Jacksonville) rally, but we may want to have Dale_1 take it with him. Wayne hasn't mentioned a gathering at anyones house, just a meeting at a restaurant, but perhaps if Mark (Dale_1), or his neighbors, don't mind a bunch of bike's in the 'Hood, then he could display it at his house. If not, then I will send it back to Jerry, or to where ever he says to send it.

                        banners banners everywhere

I could sweet talk the Larissa House into letting us hang it there. and......... pull it down after the ride. Since it is only 8 blocks (give or take) from my house.... Oh yeah also my neighbor across the street just picked up a 96 Vulcan classic 800 with a side car.... Seems like he will be joining us for our ride.

Also if you guys want I will talk to the local gas stations on our route outta town and see if anyone will give us a fuel discount. Sometimes that works....... I will start attempting to get something set between now and the mindless meeting!

                        That'll work huh?

                          count off

That makes my attending party at 3 bikes, 3 bodies for sure on JAX run.

oops wrong place. I gotta quit reading several posts at once......

but since I cant delete and can only edit...

The second floor balcony would be a great place to display the banner. If we want to do it for dinner....... but, The folks at Hot Biscuit know us when we walk through the door, so they would probably be the wise choice.

That'd be a better place for the banner to fly dont you guys think?

                              Hot Biscuit

They said they would love to fly the Banner for us while we are on the run. They open at 6 and We will hang it first thing in the morning and I told them maybe around 8 am we should be trickling in. Kickstands up at 9 am Wayne said....

They said the Banner or Banners would be fine while we are out running around the countryside. We can pick it up after we finish the run since we will be finishing up driving past The Hot Biscuit.

They have a group that will be there in the meeting room until 8:30.

But said we can have any spot we want in their restaurant.

Really nice folks, we go there alot.
