It looks like something that would be on a Yes album, but I can't find it on any photos. Roger Dean is amazing, at any rate.

I spent the last hour or so at work "googling" every 60's and 70's group I could think of to check out their album covers and such.
This better be worth it!
If it was from some obscure group like "The 1910 Fruitgum Company" or "The Trogs", I'm gonna be a little beyond upset!"Damn it Jim, I'm a doctor, not a mechanic!' ('Bones' McCoy)

JW, you were very close. Prom, why get PO'd? If you were at work, then you probably got paid to do the search, and you probably saw some pretty cool album cover art.
The name of the thing in the pic is the "Cosmic Cruiser", and this particular image was taken from the back cover of the "Yessongs" live album. It also graces the back of "Close to the Edge", and it's on the inside cover of "Fragile". It was also found on a couple of Uriah Heep albums, "Demons & Wizards", and "Magician's Birthday" (Good albums). Two of the albums that Roger Dean did for them.
I did a search of Roger Dean art, and I couldn't find it anywhere, so WK scanned it from the "Yessongs" back cover, and then she Photoshopped it to sharpen the lines, and then added the color. It was in B&W on the album cover.
After my accident, and subsequent frame replacement, and major rebuild, I had wanted to have it as tank art on my bike , and change the bikes' name to "Cosmic Cruiser, but I decided to keep the name the same.
Thanks to all who particpitated in the contest.Last edited by John; 03-02-2007, 08:08 AM.

Ah, that figures. The back!
I remember you having said something about Yes a while back, and went hunting. They're an amazing band. I dug up every Yes cover and went through all of his art that I could find online. Got kinda obsessed myself, but didn't mind so much. Saw a lot of his stuff I had never seen before. Only really knew his work from Yes covers and Uriah Heep's, as well. He has a LOT of other work I never knew existed.80 XS1100SG
