G'day, from one that does not want to re-experience this topic in "hardcopy" form.
Anyone out there like to learn why, where, how, and what causes motorcyclists to crash???? A specialist scientific research consulting company was given the charter to do this project and was funded to the tune of $34,000 from the Motor accident authority of NSW (green slips). This data is specific to the state of NSW here in the land of Oz, but no doubt seeing as we are all fairly similar could easily be correlated to you guys/guyettes over the pond.
The URL is http://www.lderconsulting.com.au
The 1Mb pdf file titled "Positioned for Safety" Road Safety Strategic Plan 2002-2005 has some verrrrrry interesting data, and makes a great read for a wet and windy day. Similarly, the slideshow presentation comes up well, and even mentions my fav cafe at Mt White, where I tend to disappear to on the odd occasions here at work.
ok fellow riders, see whatcha think of riding a machine downunder and visualise how long you would last on the two wheels given your present riding skill.
cheers
