"And what special day is it today?"

How was it on Romper Room? Miss Elisabeth would look in her Magic Mirror and say.. "Romper stomper bomper boo. Tell me, Magic Mirror, tell me today. Did all my friends have fun at play?"
Then the mirror backing would disappear, and her face would appear in the frame as she looked right into the camera and said, "I see Mikey, and Susie, and Janet, and oh, todays a special day for little....T.C.!"

I tried to think of something clever I could say
But nothing came to mind on this most auspicious day
I tried to find some Shakespeare that could say the words for me
But even the Bard was speechless when it came to prometheus and T.C.

Just resurrecting an old thread for old guys!

                Hey folks,

Well, another year has flown by, thought I'd dredge out this old thread instead of posting a new one!

But this time, it's a little bit blacker of a day since I've now obtained the ripe old age of 5-0 !

Prom is 1 year behind me, but it's a big BEHIND!

I'll be busy "trying" to celebrate it with family....mom(80 y/o) drove up from Alabama just for the occasion, something about not every day your only child/son turns 50! Yes, I'm an only child/brat! Oh, I have a half brother and half sister, each from different mothers and reared separately, but all of us are from the same seed donator! But I was the first!

So...Prom, here's to you and your 1 year of pending doom before you succumb to the same fate as I now suffer!

Hoist em if you got em!

                  It's T.C.'s Birthday... again!"

(Oh... Thanks for ruinin' my surprise by posting early, T.C. Now you don't get anything!)
(And that's TWO years younger, OLD MAN)

Anyway, as I was saying... or gonna say....

                  "Remember when you were young... you shone like the sun;
                  Shine on you crazy diamond."

                  Happy 50th!

Man... where does the time go, T.C.?
It seems like only yesterday that you were 49.
                  And look at you now.

But then again... look at the rest of us Moderators.

Like tires... we're getting bald, worn out and showing signs of rot.
Many of us have had several parts replaced already.
Some of us have problems with our exhaust systems getting plugged.
A few of us report that our petcocks continue to drip, even after we've drained our tanks.
I, myself, am having problems with my head, and may not be firing on all cylinders.

Yes, years of XSsive living have taken their toll.
Though we've widened our horizons... we've also widened our waistlines.
Bloated bellies... and my over-inflated ego.
                  "Man... we be livin' large!"

But we're not as old and out of shape as some people think we are.

Remember when we Mods all got together for your birthday last year?
(You may be 50 now, T.C., but you still rock!)
