I don't think anyone would buy it now... if that's how he's been treating it!
Just a question... Does anyone still drink Old Style? Or Stroh's? Do they still make that stuff?

On long rides, my sleeping bag tied over my seat makes a great backrest. Plus, my backback hangs over the sleeping bag nicely. All I need are some highway pegs (floating around in my shed somewehere) and a throttle lock. Its legal for me to comment on anything else. Although, I can usually tell the good from the cheap. You know, you might draw a little attention with that.

Texas beer has 6% alcohol, while in Oklahoma here, ours is only 3.2%. I have made a couple runs to Texas on my bike for beer... like I need to come up with an excuse to ride... and a 30 pack fits down in each saddle bag. About 1/3 of the box sticks up, so there's no way to fasten the straps or even cover it up with the tops... so I just fold the saddle bag tops over the beer best they will go, bungy the straps down to the clips, and take off. I get some pretty good "Point and laughs" on the freeway home...
Pabst Blue Ribbon??? Don't you have to say "Aye" after every sentence to drink that?? To each his own.. I guess everybody has different tastes. They wouldn't make Keystone or Schaefer's if nobody drank them??

How is straping a box to the seat treating it badly? Yes you can still get Old Style here. It's like a dollar a can at some of the dive bars downtown. Mostly near the small concert venues. I am yet to see a Strohs though... huh.
Oh, there's nothing wrong with cheap beers. They serve their purpose. But like anything else, their value is dependant upon one's individual tastes and what one enjoys.
Pepsi...Coke... Bah! The Master prefers Shasta Diet Cola. Who's knows why.... I just like the flavor better. (Plus... the cans make more convenient ashtrays than do plastic two-liter bottles.)

The best soda by far is the origninal Dublin Dr. Pepper. It doesn't rot your insides out nearly as bad as coke or pepsi. It is made with real cane suguar, not corn syrup. I am starting to run trips down there just to keep a few real DP's around. The regular DP works in an emergency

Sorry, guys, the best beers are British. Nothing like a good pint in a genuine English pub. Australia or Germany pobably have great beer as well, but I have not been to those countries to try out the brews. Most of the domestic beers are not very good. When I do imbibe I try to get a dark beer, generally they are better than the regular stuff.
Willl have to say the brews that Ken had in Revelstoke (Canada), from a local brewery, were quite good.
