  • Hungry? Lunch Run/Moonshine IL.

Have seen where exquized1 has posted in the rally forum thinking of trying to put something together for the mid-west. Sounds great to me! In the meantime, if some regional XSers would care for early spring ride for FREE lunch, take a look.......http://moonshine-run.com/Moonshine/Default.htm

I went last year....there were a lot of bikes.

This was at the house. I don't have pics at Moonshine, but I think there was something like 500 bikes.

The burgers aren't free, but if you get a burger you get a free desert, while it lasts.

    Yummy burger too.

        Thanks Pain!

Yea, What I meant to say was that there wasn't any reg. fee, etc. Thanks for correcting that!
I didn't go last year as the bike wasn't ready yet. Friend of mine and some of his compodres went braving the temps and wind, said it was real good turn out and lots of good people. Hope for the bikin' Gods to shine on some good weather!

Obviously I went last year, but took the beemer due to a last minute oil leak on the touring bike. I am still undecided about this year, but if a group of XSives are headed there it will definitely influance my decision.

Just a bump, 1 and 1/2 weeks away. Looks like I am going, heading down on Friday (I am way too lazy to get up that early Saturday morning)

                Anyone else?

I probably won't be there until later in the day, Casey, Il, anyway. It was easy to find last year, since I ran into a pack of Honda st1100s, and just followed them in.

Oh, and there were about 50 motorcycles outside of his house too.

Looks like I'll be able to make it. New front tire, carb tweaking & other misc. attention. Running Sweet!

Wasn't sure if I was going to get it done in time, lot of medical issues going on right now with Pop. 81 years young, Cancer, Heart Stents, Stroke, 2 Chemo treatments (not pursuing this anymore) All since Dec. 12th. Three diff. hostpital stays at three diff. hostpitals. Currently in nursing home back in the Hometown. Spent the morn./early afternoon with him, and after ALL he's been through he has kept his sharp witt & sense of humur! All be it it's a little more clody lately. Not asking for any sympathy, Just would like to say Thanks to all who are in Med. proffection or anyway connected to it...........Keep it up!

Back to post.....You guys need to wear big clown hat so as to be able to meet.................lol...................I on the other hand/or should I say head..will be wearing my XS ELLEVEN hat Thanks Uncle Spot
But seriously, would be cool to meet some of you guys on here, put face to type so to say. Look forward to it. Oh I suppose I should say that YES, I am a FAIR WEATHER motorcyclist anymore, my bones and the Midnight just don't like cold rain, etc. etc......So with decent weather and no unforseen issues..Let's get a burger!!

I am still online when I travel, so can watch for "I will be at 'x' posts." Meeting up would be cool.

Hoping to wing it probably won't work. Groups come and go, both in Casey (The staging area), and at Moonshine itself.

I still don't have final plans, other than "Going." Waiting to here from the SO, if she wants to go, and if she does if she wants to ride her own bike or pillion. If she doesn't I might camp. I like camping.
