    Little Pesky Springs

    Hi everyone.
I have an SF which I've fitted some factory panniers or saddlebags. The problem I have is getting hold of them little return springs that are fitted to the locks inside the lid. The locks are the push button type with a keyhole in the middle of the button. The springs I'm on about are one for each lock that pulls the catch back into place to lock the pannier or saddlebag when the lid is closed. Are there any members who can help me get some? Price is'nt an issue at the moment because they have to be got, but we have to be sensable about it. If you need pic's then please Email me and I'll send you some.

If they are the OEM Yamaha bags, I found the pesky springs at a hardware store and made em work.
    When a 10 isn't enough, get a 11. 80g Hardbagger

      Ditto webbcraft2150,
Believe it or not Lowes has lots of springs and stuff in their specialty isle. Get close on the diameter and length and it should work.

Hi Thanks for your reply. Could you tell me if Lowes has an email address or phone number so I can contact them as I live in the UK.

OOPS! Damn Americans...always assuming everyone is from America and has a Lowes on every corner!!!

Sorry about that! I checked their websites and they don't search for the little stuff!

I think a local hardware store is your best bet.

Send a pic with some basic measurements and I will look for them around here.

Ardvark1, is this the spring you're looking for?

If it is, this is your lucky day because I've got a couple of used spares. Drop me a PM with your real name and mailing address and I'll get one in the mail.
