Rode canal banks on my friends 1960's 80cc Yamaha in the early-mid 70's.
Bought my first bike, a Honda CL175 in 1977.
Road raced a 78 Honda Hawk in the early 80's. In AZ at PIR and the newly built Firebird Intl. Raceway along with a couple of races at the now gone Riverside Raceway in So Cal.
No motorcycle from 1986 through 1992 (roadraced bicycles at this time).
Bought a Honda XR250 for more canal bank fun.
    Became XSive in 2001.
I really miss that Honda Hawk, good times.

      short list

      Only 2 runners...

      '79 Honda CB 750K and my '78 E

Got the Honda after my first year of college. 50% making my own decisions, 50% I was ready for a bike. I came home and told my parents I was either getting a bike or a tattoo. -I'll never forget this- My mom looked at me and said "Erik, please get a tattoo."
I'll never forget that. I'd say I made the right decision.
      -Do what makes you happy.

      '79 Honda CB 750 K (2)
      '78 XS 11 E - "Rhona"
...and a 2nd E, for the goodies on it.

Started on a SR250, 1991. Briefly had a Suzuki gn440, but only for about a month before selling it and going back to just the SR.

Then I got the Special in 02, the standard in early 05, and the beemer in late 05.

Clearly, I need to own more motorcycles.
I've been in more than one Hemisphere, and I wrote a book to help you do it too (or just prepare better for that week long road trip). Going Small, not just for the little guys.

41 years riding, with a bikeless period for a while during the married with childen phase.

                          1965 Honda S-90
                          1965 Honda CL-77 305 Scrambler
                          1971 Yamaha RT-1 360 Enduro

And the rest of the fleet will show below my name. I plan on spinning off the Honda and the 650's and eventually having probably 5 of the 1100's set up as special purpose bikes. It's difficult for me to get onto a smaller bike after having "been to the top of the mountain" This site has been a large part of the reason that I will specialize on XS-11's.
