  • I want a model.

Want one bad. No, not the blonde silicone variety, full of ambition and low on IQ....

I want a real model. Specifically an XS1100 model. Been searching for a wile and finally found one. Trouble is they have a $15 minimum order.

Hoping someone in the good ol US of A may also be looking for one and may be interested in sending one over to Australia.

Preferably someone with paypal to make transfer of funds for item and postage easier.

Maybe a group buy????? XS1100 models seem to be harder to find than the real thing. True collectors items for the real enthusiast.

    Any takers?

    Cheers

I had found one many years ago. Took about 3 hours to finish. Suffered an untimely death when the cat knocked it off the shelf. It was a horrible crash

        Like this?

They are out there, not very often, but they do come up once in a while. Good hunting.

I see them on ebay quite frequently. I want one, but they only ever have Std models, and since I have a Special, I want a special

I'm not saying there aren't any, but I've never seen a model of a special.

                  Hey Goon,

Check with DPotter58, he was helped in getting a goodie from AUSSIELAND a few weeks ago(Goldcoastguy). I would think he would be willing to return the favor!

I'm like Jessie, I want a SPECIAL, wouldn't care what year or kind, 79, 81, MNS, just a Special, but I've never seen a model of one either. Aside from Ebay, I remember someone posting about a site IIRC in germany that offered ones of the XS11, can't remember if they were build it yourself or diecast versions?!

I remember as a teenager working for hours in my room putting them together. I didn't run out of glue, but I did get a "buzz" from it!

I'm after a standard and the only one I can find is a die cast one.

I did find a special listed on a website (delray I think) but was listed as discontinued.

Is that a Monogram kit Ken???

Yes, it is a Monogram plastic kit, in 1/15 scale. I've seen quite a few die cast models in 1/24 size, but the plastic kits are a bit harder to find.

Gerard's right, that 1:6 Midnight on Ebay right now looks a but pricey, but it sure is sweet!

I was going to bid on that 1:6 midnight model on ebay. Got myself all psyched to build my first plastic model in about 40 years and then found out the shipping was $50. No thanks. Did anyone here wind up winning it?
