Bought my 80 XS11G from the original owner with 4,047mi on it for $800 this year. He said he just never had time to ride it! Just need to redo the pickup coils and finish tuning it.
Bought my 79 XS11SG from the second owner with 54kmi(he put 50k on it) for $200. He hadn't seen it for 5 years as he let his best friend use it(mostly stored it). His only request after getting me the Calif. Title was that I ride it over to his house so he can get a pic of it. He rides a Valkyrie now. Just finished getting it tuned up and roadworthy. It only needs new tires(on order).
Bought my scooter in Yokohama,Japan at the navy px. Came to Boston in a crate, paid $2500. dollars in 1980 . $50. dollars custom. That same bike went for $3800, dollars in states. 1980SG ruby red all still original, 21,000 miles.

Let's see, "Blue 'leven" is made up of about 4 bikes, maybe more. Oh, and then there's the side car, that' on its 2nd XS1100. The other bike? Well, at the very least 2 contributors, one of which also donated the "Blue 'leven". Hey! that makes my bikes cousins, don't it?
1978 XS1100E, full dress w/Velorex 700 side car (My Blue 'leven) 1980 XS1100SG (as of yet un-named)
Im the 2nd owner of my bike. The guy I bought it from, his brother was the original owner of it and he drove it 16,500 mi in the first year! Its all in the maintenance log that came with the book. By 1981 it had 20 some thousand miles on it. The guy must have loved it so much he never got off it in the first year. So the brother I bought it from never put it in his name and only rode it maybe a 1 or 2 thousand miles since '98. The poor thing was ridden 400 miles from '07 to when I bought it this year.
"What they do have is an implacable, unrelenting presence and movement that bespeaks massive power lurking behind paint and chrome. They don't wail like a screeching ninja, the don't rumble like a harley. They just growl like a spactic, stressed out badger waiting to rip your face off and eat your soul." Trainzz~RIP~
PO!!! She told me I was the only one for her!! How could she do this to me?! Oh well I'll keep her (and her younger sister) any way. The title had 6 PO's on it that never registered the bike. Who knows how many have abused her in the past(she wont talk about it).
Her sister (the 80 Midnight) was left for dead (A PO laid her down then just stuck her in a shed for 15 years) , using parts from her to fix the 78 then it will be her turn (No title just a bill of sales already working with the DMV to get a title)

Thinking back over the last 30 years.........I can't remember how many owners I've had ( ie. wives/girlfriends ) so I think it's only fair that I don't hold that against the OKIEspecial either.
dont know how many owners mines had but no one else is getting it-ever.
ive got the full history of it from 1984-to present.
Whoever owned it back in 84 apparently rode it to Perth. Darwin and Cairns so its pretty much been right around Australia
I am an original owner of an 81 Midnight Special (Tyrone 1). Sold it to my counsin who blew the motor. Acquired Tyrone 2 (he doesn't know he's the second) in 1989 as second owner. He is all original with just over 11,100 miles. I'm pretty fortunate to have owned 2 out of the 250 Midnights made in 1981. Too bad my cousin had to ruin such a fine machine. He actually bent and twisted the number 4 connecting rod and he still ran!
After 20 years of owning and barely riding T2, I doubt he'll see another owner.
I bought my 81 XS1100SH, aka Beastie Girl, this past Apr and it had 13k. I am the 2nd owner, not bad for her being almost 30.
I was with that which others did not want to be, I went to where others feared to go, and did what others failed to do. I have seen the face of terror, felt the stinging cold of fear, And enjoyed the sweet taste of a moments love. I have cried pain and hope, But most of all I have lived times others would say were best forgotten. At least some day I'll be able to say, That I was proud what I was, A Soldier."
81 XS1100SH
All I know is that it had at least 6 owners withing the past 3 years. Now I have her and she will be staying with me!

In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.
