Photos Finally

Finally a few pictures of the new machine. Just joined the forum a month or so ago and finally got around to taking a few pictures. She aint pretty but runs very well. I now believe from looking into the serial number that this is an 83 XJ. Not sure about the gas tank and emblem, from every other picture I've seen the Yamaha emblem should be bigger?

Nice bike, those badges look like they have been lifted from an early XS 650. I like your exhaust, I have the same ones on my Special.

Wow..you are right...an 83 Canadian
The tank is right but the emblem is wrong. Looks like the PO "tried" to cover the tank emblem mounts with putty. He then mounted the emblem crooked as it should follow the line of the tank more. You might find originals, $$$, but Old Bike Barn has replicas if you want to switch.
