would glass packs work on an XS? That would be really loud but they are certainly cheap. They are really high flow so with large jetts, shouldn't that yield more HP? It would be the same as the Sporster muff modd but higher flow. Just curious

You try them and tell us, I bet they would have a nice low pitch sound to them, like a race car.
Do a search in Dennis Kirk for exhaust systems, you will get a good idea of whats out there. Also keep an eye on Ebay, sometimes there are some good deals there.
    Good luck

Check out the bike mufflers on JC Whitney. I put a set of "extra long" on my 80g. They look like stock, sound good and were relatively easy to install. I was able to use stock mounts with a little modification. I did have to fabricate a stop for the center stand.

Not a real fan of the HD muffler look myself, but sometimes $$$'s overcome style.
      When a 10 isn't enough, get a 11. 80g Hardbagger

        fat boys

        hey hobbyman

if you want fatboys ,i bought a pair and i went to 4 to ones instead they are like new take offs, while you can have them 40 bucks delivered

and as far as horsepower i think the 4 into 1's gives me the same, (not more)

those stock pipes make great power, this is my shootout discovery.

the chrome on these would prolly be better than the paint on the glasspacks , but i'm curious to know how they would sound.

                Had a set

Had a set of those HD mufflers, still in the shed somehere, now I have a stock system, soon to be replaced with the stainless 4 into 1 Supertrap system.....when I ran with the HD pipes they were OK but I didnt like the looks, quiet enough on the hiway well muffled in town at low speeds......real heavy chrome on the HD mufflers.....all I did to attach them was make some clamps from thin stainless sheet metal with some hiheat gasket material.
