Got my 79 Special running thsts been in my shed for three years, before that it sat outside for three years.....the motor sounds quiet and strong and allthough I've not test rode it I will assume the transmission is OK....it will be going into my 78 XS11. Quite thrilled at how quiet the top end is compared to my old motor and the supertrap exhaust sound real nice....that exhaust was the problem why the bike wouldnt run very long, the muffler plates were all plugged up with crud...anyway gotta go
