  • "Warning on Warn winches"

No, not a warning on worn out wenches... Winches, as in cables and hooks.
For youse guys what have Quads and such with winches, Warn has put out a recall on winches sold between 2001 and Sept. 2005, (but could also apply if you bought it this year and the joint you bought it at had a lot of them in inventory)
    For 2,500-3,500LB. winches
Recall is on the contactor, where all the electrical cables hook up. Old style had 8 posts for the cables(though only four are used). Not recalled are the 4 post contactors, which is what I believe is the replacement part.
You can either bring your quad back to the place that installed the winch, or contact WARN and they will ship you the new part.

    WARN, toll free 886-408-3767 (www.warn.com)

Makes one want to cross-pollenate, doesn't it?

Hey now...at least leave the link! (sniffle)

In other news...when you are sailing with your girlfriend, and need her to tighten up the mainsail a bit...don't use the phrase, "To the winch, wench!"

It will not produce the desired result!

I actually hae one of these wenches (uh, sorry, winches) on front of my XS. Problem is that everytime I get stuck riding off road, the bike falls over while I am trying to hook the faulty cable to a tree.

                        Adding Flare!

                        Hey Jessie, and Commando,

There's more than 1 "cat" watching the board, thanks Ken!

However, Ken forgot to post the "KEY", just add the .jpg ending to the remaining link, and you can still view the FLOWERS!

Just remember, this is FAMILY oriented place. Now I like to look at TNA as much as the next person, but we have to maintain a certain standard for the BIBLE BELT!

ThanXS TC. I understand, I was just trying to make light of the situation. Besides there are much better sites for TNA than this
